Tell Congress to hold corporations accountable for their role in the climate crisis

As the world begins to shift away from fossil fuels in order to combat climate change, the likelihood of fraud by fossil fuel companies and other corporations is at an all-time high.

Without sufficient disclosure requirements and oversight, corporations can hide the extent of their climate-related financial risks and make misleading claims about their sustainability efforts - creating a ticking time bomb that, if not detected and addressed, could make the global financial system implode.

To protect our communities and prevent the collapse of our economy, Congress recently introduced the Climate Risk Disclosure Act, a piece of legislation that directs the Securities and Exchange Commission to require public companies to disclose critical information regarding their climate change-related risk.

To ensure this bill’s success however, Congress must implement whistleblower provisions modeled off of the successful Dodd-Frank Act. Without it, whistleblowers - who have long played a central role in exposing frauds and ensuring successful government investigations and prosecutions - will not be protected.

So please, take action and tell Congress to include whistleblower provisions within the Climate Risk Disclosure Act today. We’re running out of time to prevent another financial collapse.
