On May 28th, the U.S. Senate passed an emergency legislative amendment to prevent the collapse of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) whistleblower program. This was a huge victory for whistleblowers and the highly successful CFTC whistleblower program.
But the struggle is not over yet.
After nearly a year of advocacy from the National Whistleblower Center and its supporters, this bipartisan amendment will now be sent to the House of Representatives. Without action by the House, the CFTC whistleblower program will continue to be threatened by financial instability.
It’s imperative that the House passes this amendment immediately and without further delays, to protect the brave whistleblowers who report commodities fraud. As commodities are the bedrock of our economy, these frauds touch every aspect of our lives
So please, take action and write to your representatives today: urge them to protect whistleblowers and support the CFTC program.
