National Whistleblower Day will feature a special program for your members at the House of Representatives. The program, Fireside Chat with the House Office of the Whistleblower Ombuds, will kick off our celebration on Thursday, July 28, at 2:30 PM EST. But, we need your help to make sure your elected Representatives understand how important it is that they attend.
The House Office of the Whistleblower Ombuds provides the following services to your Representative:
1. Confidential advice on how to handle whistleblower tips and complaints.
2. Legislative tracking of whistleblower laws.
3. Training on how to interact with whistleblowers and process complaints.
4. Information about which committees are best to communicate with on the issue being reported.
Whistleblowers often go to Congress to report fraud, waste, abuse and other violations of the law. These whistleblowers trust their Congress people and in order to protect that trust, elected Representatives must be prepared to safely and responsibly receive whistleblower tips. The House Office of the Whistleblower Ombuds provides essential support to the House and the Fireside chat will cover everything the Office has to offer.

The Fireside Chat on Thursday, July 28th, will only take one hour of your Representatives time. Ask your Representative to block out 2:30 to 3:30 PM for whistleblowers so they can show that Whistleblowers are worth their time. Please, take action and write to your Representative today.
